With the influx of the Baby Boomers (born 1946-1965) we will see a stronger, healthier, and more populated senior demographic than ever before. This new group will tax our existing senior housing and assisted care facilities. A high percentage of seniors wish to stay in their current houses. But due to declining health and an incompatible existence with their surroundings they are forced into a more expensive housing situation. Typically with minor housing modifications years of use can be added, and with major modifications the years of use can be indefinite. Prevention and proactive decisions are the keys to being able to stay ahead of the curve and maintain the ability to choose a housing situation.
We at Stick's Construction Inc. try to identify with the aging population and address their primary concerns by having an occupational therapist and certified aging in place specialist consult on these projects.
