Duxbury, MA - Sticks Construction has helped us with two projects...one very small and one very large. Both projects were handled professionally and timely. Both Dennis and Fred's attention to detail is impressive and appreciated. Our very small project was the installation of a front door in a very short time frame, when we were selling our first home. The craftsmanship on the installation of the molding was wonderful and I'm sure the increased curb appeal helped put our house under contract in just 6 days.
Dennis was the general contactor on the construction of a 100 foot long, 16 foot high structural retaining wall at our new home. He researched possible construction solutions, visited sites with me to see other projects, coordinated building permits and inspections and coordinated and reviewed the bids of several firms for the actual construction. The contactor chosen was wonderful and the project went smoothly. Again, Dennis' attention to detail, including costs, ensured that the project, which was started and abandoned by a disreputable contractor, was completed as cost efficiently as possible, without sacrificing quality.

West Roxbury, MA - Renovating a kitchen is rarely an easy and straightforward process. Having lived with an outdated kitchen since moving in to our house in '03, we spent a long time weighing the pros and cons of an extensive renovation compared with minor updating. After consulting with several industry professionals, we opted for a complete renovation with the addition of a deck to add usable space to the back yard.
When it came to choosing a builder, we solicited recommendations from friends and colleagues, asking them who they were really impressed with. From our initial meeting with Dennis and Fred, we had a great deal of confidence in their capabilities and attention to details. We have been enjoying the finished product for the past several months and are amazed at what a difference it has made to our home and our daily quality of life. The workmanship was impressive to watch but what really made the process go smoothly was the ongoing dialogue, Stick's abilities to improvise in creative ways, and the patience that Dennis and Fred showed as the project progressed from idea to reality.
I recommend Sticks highly and we look forward to enjoying our new kitchen and deck for years to come. Thank you Dennis and Fred!

Whitman , MA - Dennis installed a sump pump in our cellar 2 years ago, and boy were we glad when the floods of spring 2010 struck. Without that pump I would have been bailing water with a bucket as we had to do previously.

Watertown , MA - …. I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for the work you did on our bathroom. We are really happy with the way it turned out. I know the job had plenty of complications – the asbestos, the concrete, working around the existing pipes -- and we appreciated your creativity and perseverance in solving problems. I'm also glad we were able to leave the design details up to you. The bathroom looks and works better than we expected. Both my contractor brother-in-law and my electrical engineer mother were impressed with your work, too. Please feel free to use us as a reference, and I hope we can call you again in the future.
Stick's Construction did a fantastic job on our basement renovation. We love our new bathroom and laundry room. Dennis and Fred worked within our budget, even when we found out about unexpected complications like asbestos tiles. They kept us informed about what they were doing every step of the way and were a pleasure to work with. We wouldn't hesitate to call them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I recommended three contractors to her, (as she doesn't know any), and we chose you because you had the best price, you have enough people to do the job in a timely fashion, and you put in the time to explain everything patiently to us. This is a credit to you, not to me. If you're good, word will spread, and word of mouth doesn't need to be rewarded.
Anyway, I think I've taken up at least $200. worth of your time with questions, visits, and advice without getting one thin dime from me.

Dennis and Fred are craftsman that delivered a great end result. We were extremely pleased with the work Stick's Construction did in remodeling our kitchen, and in creating a mudroom. Dennis and Fred presented ideas to us that we hadn't originally considered. The custom woodworking that they created is both very functional and works great with the overall interior design of our house. Dennis and Fred took time to present options to us, and to make sure we were comfortable with our final decisions. We have received a lot of compliments on the work done by Stick's Construction. Our remodeling project was to integrate the two rooms where our family spends the most amount of time -- the kitchen and the family room. The work Dennis and Fred have done have greatly improved the comfort of our home. They have a great eye for building and customizing woodworking that makes sense for the function of a specific room.
